How to adopt a better Mindset

Getting in the right mindset is crucial to living a healthy, happy life. There are a few things you can do to kick-start the process.


  1. Get honest with yourself. What do you REALLY want? Not what you think you SHOULD want.
  2. Visualise the end goal. How do you feel? Where are you? What are you wearing? What have you accomplished to get here?
  3. Get realistic. Life is complicated, it will continue to be so, considering this, what can you put into place to help you move forward. Little things all add up to make something amazing, so focus on the little things at the beginning.
  4. Start small. Starting with things that you can easily maintain is important for your self-esteem and your ongoing success. For example, a hot water with lemon in the morning instead of a large latte can help you feel cleansed, it then may help you to make better decisions throughout the day as you have started the day well.
  5. Accept that this is a journey. No matter what you may have read, there are no quick fixes which will make you glow with good health, it’s a process. Decide that you’re in it now for the long term and choose to enjoy it, get to know what works for you and embrace this new lifestyle.

Women can do amazing things, I am constantly in awe of amazing women I meet that have turned their lives around and taken a new healthier path, I often get asked for their secrets, how do they do it? And it really comes down to one thing – they make the choice. The decision to change their lives forever. Sometimes it is spurred on because of a health scare, sometimes it’s to lose weight, sometimes it’s simply wanting to live a healthier, happier life. The real secret is finding a core purpose that is strong enough to keep you on the right path. If the purpose is large enough there is a way, the motivation is there, just waiting to be uncovered.
