This relaxed and satisfying breakfast treat is a no-fuss, low carb meal that you’ll return to time and time again.
A simple low carb breakfast
A basic sweetened egg custard coats and soaks into our amazing keto white bread in a matter of minutes. All that’s needed then is a gentle fry and the addition of some toppings (fruit, low sugar syrups, etc).
It feels so decadent to eat that your friends and family won’t believe how low carb it is!
Ingredients
-
2 slices of Heylo Lighter White
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 heaped teaspoon of erythritol (sweetener)
- a splash of milk/cream
- Berries, Yoghurt and low sugar syrup to serve
- Butter (40g)
Directions
Mix the eggs, sweetener and milk/cream in a bowl until well combined
Lay your slices of Heylo in there and leave for a minimum of 5 minutes to soak up. You can of course do this the night before.
Melt the butter in a frying pan and gently fry your eggy bread until golden all over.
Serve with the fruits, yoghurt and syrup
