Low Carb French Toast (Savoury) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Heylo Seeded Loaf
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 15-20g finely grated parmesan
  • 1 sausages
  • 20g chestnut mushrooms
  • A knob of butter/drizzle of olive oil
  • Half a tomato
  • Two rashers of bacon

Directions

  1. Put your sausage, bacon, tomato and mushrooms (brushed in melted butter/oil) in the oven or under the grill and cook for approx 15-20 mins (if grilling, turn occasionally).

  2. Mix the eggs and parmesan and soak the bread slices in the mix - allow to sit until 5 minutes before serving.

  3. When ready, fry the eggy bread until golden brown on both sides. Serve with the grilled items on top.
