One of my favourite keto breakfasts is Low Carb Viking Toast. It’s a tasty take on regular cheese toast for those counting carbs.


I use our Heylo Seeded Low-Carb Bread. It keeps the carb count low and provides a base—like a Viking ship for your toppings!


  1. First I fry thinly sliced red onions until they’re soft. 
  2. Then I mix them with grated cheddar cheese, milk, Worcester sauce, egg yolk and mustard. 
  3. This savoury mixture gets spread on one side of the toasted bread and grilled until golden. 

The cheddar cheese isn’t just for flavour - it’s packing protein and calcium too. 


This Low-Carb Viking Toast is suitable on its own or with a simple salad for a more substantial meal. To jazz it up, add some herbs on top or serve with a keto-friendly dipping sauce.

Our low carb coconut porridge is a proper twist on a breakfast classic. It’ll start your day off right without kicking your keto diet out the window.


I’ve made this with butter for richness, coconut flour for low carb base, eggs for protein. Psyllium husk powder to thicken and a pinch of salt to bring out the flavour. It’s not just yummy it’s good for you too.


It’s easy to make. Just throw all the ingredients in a pan over low heat and stir until it’s just how you like it. I think it’s best with a splash of coconut milk for extra creaminess. Add a few frozen berries on top for a kick.


Why not add some sliced avocado on top for extra healthy fats? This is dead versatile - you can add whatever you like and keep the carbs down.
